Personal Care

What is personal care?

Personal support workers (PSWs) and community health workers (CHWs) assist people with daily personal care needs including bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility and feeding as well as other activities of daily living. Our PSWs are graduates of certified, accredited educational programs.

Individuals rely on PSWs to help them stay at home, to be safe and comfortable, and to live their lives with dignity.

Receiving care in your home

One of our case managers (specialized nurses) will visit you at home to conduct a free assessment of your needs and work with you to create a care plan. We are dedicated to matching our staff to your individual needs and personality. Consistency of care is paramount to our service. Whenever possible, the same staff will provide care at each visit, on a schedule that is convenient for you.

How we can help

Our compassionate, trained staff will visit your home to help with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Bathing, personal grooming

Am I covered?

We understand that every client and family has unique care needs. Individual services are available or multiple services can be combined depending on needs. We provide service through private insurance plans; on a fee-for-service basis; and, you can speak to your doctor about how to arrange care through your provincial health plan or local health authority. We are also a recognized provider through Veterans Affairs Canada.

When are services available?

Personal support can be arranged 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our services are flexible, convenient and customized to meet your needs and schedule.
