Saint Elizabeth Health Care is proud to receive the 2016 Business Excellence award for high quality and service. The awards were presented by the Markham Board of Trade on November 10 at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa.
Saint Elizabeth is a national not-for-profit health organization dedicated to changing lives, health care and society for the better. In the past decade, its award-winning team has delivered 50 million health care visits across Canada, including in family homes, hospitals, long-term care, and community settings.
“Our vision is to honour the human face of health care and that takes an incredible team effort,” said Shirlee Sharkey, CEO of Saint Elizabeth. “We would like to dedicate this award to our 8,000 employees, locally and across the country, who bring their best every day.”
As Canada’s largest social enterprise, Saint Elizabeth is also well known for its social innovation and technology leadership. The organization partners with innovation hubs such as York Region’s ventureLAB to deliver quality health care and drive better patient outcomes.
