Saint Elizabeth Health Career College HCA & PSW Student Scholarship Program

At Saint Elizabeth Health Career College, we are preparing a new generation of health care providers to support the aging population and find a career they love. SEHCC is proud to support a new generation of students – Health Care Assistants in British Columbia, and Personal Support Workers in Ontario – with financial awards. Our student scholarships represent our commitment to educating for excellence.

Scholarship applications must be received one month prior to a course start date.

Eligibility:

To be considered for the SEHCC Student Scholarship, applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • Must be a legal / permanent resident of Canada;
  • Must meet all entrance requirements or course prerequisites for the HCA Diploma or HCA-ESL Diploma or PSW Certificate
  • Be enrolled and accepted into Saint Elizabeth Health Career College HCA Diploma or HCA-ESL Diploma or PSW Certificate
  • Complete and submit the Student Scholarship Application Form
  • Students must submit a short essay which describes how the completion of their career training will support their commitment to Saint Elizabeth’s mission to “Spread Hope and Happiness” through a spirit of caring and creative acts of kindness that will bring positive change to people’s lives and the health care system.
    • Minimum of 250 words, maximum of 500 words
    • All essays should be written in English using correct grammar and punctuation
    • All personal information needs to be accurate and truthful
    • Pictures, audio, and video are accepted as part of the submission
    • No client names or personal health information should be shared

General Provisions:

  • Scholarships are non-transferable and are not convertible into cash
  • The scholarship amount can only be put towards tuition, books and other student-related fees
  • The scholarship must be applied to the course date applied for and may not be transferred to another session or year
  • Recipients must agree to participate in a follow-up interview six months after graduation, which will be profiled in media including; web-based, Facebook and other social media and printed materials. The interview will focus on how the recipient is spreading hope and happiness.
