Spiritual Care

Saint Elizabeth Health Care’s Mission is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of clients and families in their homes and communities. This integrated approach, which includes the spiritual, is an important part of our historic roots.

Saint Elizabeth Health Care believes in hiring health care providers who share our Mission of an integrated service delivery approach that is attentive to the spiritual needs of clients. During orientation, our staff are trained to be aware of our history, Mission and commitment to spirituality. We believe home care providers are well placed to recognize spiritual needs, initiate spiritual assessment and care, and make appropriate referrals as required.

Chaplaincy

Saint Elizabeth Health Care, in partnership with the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto, has created Community Health Chaplaincy positions. In this unique multi-faith program, our chaplains reach out to clients, families and staff members, offering emotional and spiritual support as well as linkages with local spiritual resources and groups.
