Scholarships

2011 PSW Professional Development Scholarship

Saint Elizabeth, the Personal Support Network of Ontario and the Ontario Community Support Association are proud to launch the 4th annual PSW Professional Development Scholarship.

This scholarship will be awarded to a Personal Support Worker in the province of Ontario who wishes to advance his/her expertise and leadership in Personal Support by taking courses at a recognized educational institution in Ontario.

Michael Decter Scholarship For Health Leadership And Policy Studies

Saint Elizabeth is happy to announce that Matthew Nelson has been selected as the winner of the Michael Decter Scholarship for Health Leadership and Policy Studies for 2012.

Matthew is currently a PhD student at the Institute for Health Policy, Management & Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He is exploring the relationship between entrepreneurial finance and the commercialization of health innovations. Matthew’s academic background also includes a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Science.

In addition to pursuing his PhD, Matthew is the Manager of Innovation & Business Development at Cancer Care Ontario. Before joining Cancer Care Ontario, Matthew was a trusted advisor to many healthcare organizations in Ontario, including various Academic Health Sciences Centres, Local Health Integration Networks and healthcare start-up companies. Matthew also worked as an Investment Banker prior to his MBA and MSc studies.
