Partnerships

SEHC recognizes that people and organizations can achieve greater results by working together. Our philosophy of building a collective wisdom from diverse perspectives enables us to learn and grow with each partnership experience.

Below is just a sampling of the many partnerships we are involved in.

Queen's Joanna Briggs Collaboration

SEHC has partnered with Queen’s University to establish the first Evidence Translation Group in North America. In this role, we conduct systematic reviews of nursing research from a community perspective in areas such as chronic disease management, palliative care, IV therapy and healthy work environments.

Partners for aboriginal Health

Partners for Aboriginal Health

For nearly 10 years, SEHC has been partnering with First Nations communities across Canada as they search for innovative ways to support care at the local level. Technology provides a cost effective approach to training by combining the flexibility of self-directed learning with the structure of scheduled ‘virtual classroom’ sessions, without ever having to leave the community. As early adopters of @YourSide Colleague, First Nations have been instrumental in helping to shape the ongoing evolution of the program and have identified it as an effective vehicle to support local capacity and First Nations-driven health programs and services. Today, @YourSide Colleague is supporting nearly 600 geographically-dispersed health service providers in over 200 First Nation communities and organizations across British Columbia and Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
