Program Length and Options

The program has a total of 808 hours:

• Theory (514 hours)
• Practicum Training (294 hours)

The program is offered full time (26 weeks) and part time (52 weeks).

Theory classes are held from Monday to Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Practicum hours will vary.

Advanced Standing for Practicum Courses
Students applying to the program who have been recently employed as uncertified health care assistants, or nurses who have obtained training outside of Canada may submit an application for a prior learning assessment. A course credit for the relevant practicum or theory training may be available.
