Patient Care
Providing high quality, compassionate care to those in need
Everyday, SEHC staff provide world class care to clients with complex health needs that are often not being fully met by government-funded programs, due to funding limitations. As a result of charitable support, Saint Elizabeth Health Care Foundation helps to ensure these individuals and families have access to the health services they require, while easing some of the emotional and financial strain that so many of these families experience.
What types of services does the Foundation support?
- Bereavement programming
- Extended and additional visits for palliative care clients
- Chaplaincy services and spiritual care
- Mobile crisis response to seniors experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis
AGAPE Foot Care Program
Health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, kidney problems and nerve and circulatory disorders can show their initial symptoms in the feet. To help prevent these conditions from escalating into high-risk situations, Saint Elizabeth Health Care Foundation has partnered with the AGAPE Centre in Eastern Ontario to set-up and staff a foot care clinic for the less fortunate. This community outreach program enables clients to receive professional care and treatment for their existing foot conditions from a specially-trained SEHC nurse, who helps to identify warning signs of secondary health problems and makes referrals as needed.
