Nurse Continence Advisor – Part- Time (Hamilton & Niagara Region)
As a valued member of our health care team, you will provide continence assessments, care and consultation to clients in a community/home setting. You will also have the opportunity to deliver education, provide specialty consultation to nurse colleagues, and participate in our preceptorship program.
A Nurse Continence Advisor Certificate, solid assessment skills, and excellent communication, teaching and leadership skills are required. A vehicle and the ability to travel are also necessary.
NURSE CONTINENCE ADVISOR
PART-TIME - WILLING TO TRAIN
(Based out of Hamilton)
Responsibilities:
• Utilize evidence-based practice to provide care and support to clients and their families who are experiencing manageable bladder and bowel dysfunction
• You will provide specialty consultation services to nursing care managers and preceptorship experiences as required
• Actively seek out opportunities to raise the profile of this program
Requirements:
• Current Registration with the CNO
• A Nurse Continence Advisor Certificate is an asset – willing to support RN with tuition support
• Solid assessment skills are required
• Effective community health teaching, problem solving and leadership abilities are required
• Community nursing experience is required
• A sound knowledge of available community and social services is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• A vehicle and valid drivers license are required
