Reimagining health care: Saint Elizabeth Health Care takes home and community health care in a new direction
Markham , ON , April 24 – Unveiling a bold new visual identity and brand, Saint Elizabeth Health Care (SEHC) today launched the first-ever social marketing campaign to engage Canadians in a whole new way of thinking about home and community-based health care.
“Our vision is based on something we’ve been doing and thinking about for almost a hundred years,” says President and CEO Shirlee Sharkey. “It’s driven by the simple yet revolutionary idea of providing health care that revolves around people’s lives, not the other way around.”
Spearheaded by Saint Elizabeth Health Care and Saint Elizabeth Health Care Foundation, the purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness about home and community-based care and its power to transform health care in Canada. Through an integrated approach to communication and messaging, SEHC will showcase a modern health care experience that answers the needs of today’s communities and families, shaking up traditional, limited notions about home care.
“The key insight we tapped into was SEHC’s focus on client empowerment,” said Michael Decter, Chair of the Board. “Our approach centres on giving people the knowledge, tools and skills they need to be fully engaged in care. In the 21 st century, that’s not just a revolution. It’s a necessity.”
A distinctive new logo and revitalized look will help people connect with Saint Elizabeth Health Care’s vision and pioneering spirit, as well as the type of health care experience they can expect from this innovative home and community health care organization.
Saint Elizabeth Health Care currently employs 3,700 staff and delivers three million home care visits annually. Recognized nationally and provincially for its leadership and commitment to excellence, the organization was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in Canada by Canadian Business Magazine.
Established in 1908, Saint Elizabeth Health Care is a Canadian not-for-profit charitable organization providing direct care and service, consultation, and education and e-learning to support the transformation of care for health organizations and the people we serve. Inspired by the Mission of Saint Elizabeth Health Care, the Foundation was established in 1997 to raise funds for the advancement of knowledge and charitable initiatives in home and community care.
