We Offer:
- A dynamic learning experience. Our visiting nursing program encompasses many services, including care of seniors, diabetes care, wound management, palliation, home infusion, home dialysis, respiratory and cardiac care as well as mental health, paediatrics and maternal-newborn
- Opportunity to focus clinical placement in one area of practice
- One-to-one preceptorship with an experienced nurse with ongoing feedback
- Orientation to SEHC including online access to @YourSide Colleague®
- Evaluation of placement based on student's learning goals
- Opportunities to participate in a variety of projects, such as implementing best practices, developing educational in-services and materials for nurses and families, and participating in research projects
- Opportunity for final year students to provide independent client care following demonstration of knowledge, skills and judgment, and consultation between student's preceptor and faculty advisor
