August 2007 - SEHC President and CEO Shirlee Sharkey has been called upon by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) to act as an advisor on staffing and care standards for long-term care homes in Ontario. The review will solicit stakeholder and expert views and provide advice on current research and practice concerning staffing standards.
As a well-known and respected health care executive, Ms. Sharkey is frequently sought after to share her wealth of experience and expertise with the broader health care system.
