Saint Elizabeth Health Career College is seeking highly motivated English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor for a One (1) Year Contract; you will be responsible for the development and successful delivery of the English Language - Skills Development program and other related ESL courses within our Health Care Assistant Program.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a credential demonstrating specialist training in English language instruction, (eg. * TESL Canada certification)  or  A degree/diploma/certificate related to English language instruction supplemented by 24 months of full-time occupational experience in language instruction, or  10 years of demonstrated full-time occupational experience in English language instruction.
  • Experience designing and developing ESL training curriculum aligned to the Canadian Language Benchmarks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Initiative and enthusiasm for teaching and the ability to create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Ability to lead, supervise and evaluate students
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within competing deadlines/priorities
